A Chinese citizen journalist jailed for her reporting in the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic is at risk of dying from a hunger strike, reports say.
Zhang Zhan, a 38-year-old former lawyer, was sentenced to four years in prison in December after she traveled to Wuhan in February 2020 to document what was happening on the ground.
She had posted on social media about government officials detaining independent reporters and harassing the families of COVID-19 patients.
Sadly, journalism in America under the corrupt control of the Oligarchy
is trending in the wrong direction, also undermining fair and legitimate questions that relate to Covid 19 as "Conspiracy Theories" and facts that challenge the corrupt medical establishment as "false information". We still aren't imprisoning citizens for telling the truth, but we are censoring them for telling the truth, which means we are already rapidly descending the dangerous slope of totalitarian abuse of civil rights and abandonment of the checks and balances established by the founding fathers.
