Tithing lawsuit against the LDS church is born again

Contributor's comments:
Salt Lake Tribune: A federal lawsuit accusing the church of fraud has taken on new life.
Attorneys for North Carolina resident Laura Gaddy, a former Latter-day Saint, refiled a second amended complaint in the matter Oct. 22, essentially updating her case against the church in U.S. District Court in Utah after a judge allowed the move earlier this year.
Gaddy and two co-plaintiffs, Lyle D. Small and Leanne R. Harris, accuse church leaders through the years of concealing key aspects of Mormonism’s origins and the character of founder Joseph Smith as part of defrauding “hundreds of thousands” of now ex-members of their tithing.

This contributor suggests: This bit is part of a continuing effort on the part of the Salt Lake Tribune, controlled by interests friendly to the LDS Church, to obfuscate the discussion of Mormon Fraud. Note that it is referred to as a Tithing Suit in the headline. It is a Fraud suit that demands restitution for fraudulently induced payment of tithes and other abuses of the LDS Church. Knowing that they will (and appropriately should) bear warranted criticism for not giving the subject matter proper coverage, the Tribune is feigning "coverage" that is actually intended as a distraction from the actual issues, concerns, and legitimacy of the complaint, and potential allegations of corruption both of the press and the United States Judiciary.
The Salt Lake Tribune's reporting has been consistently biased and irresponsibly deficient on this subject but in very careful ways that afford the Tribune "plausible deniability" that such is the case. It is most certainly true, in our view, that the Tribune's reporting has consistently omitted the most glaring facts and realities of the case, consistent with the public relations interests of the Church and consistent with avoidance of the exposure of the highly questionable conduct of the United States Judiciary and Department of Justice and related questions about the corruption that is being exposed.
