World peace starts with me

I have come to believe that world peace starts with me. It will never be negotiated by the United Nations and it will never be achieved on a battle field. It will not be achieved by converting everyone to the same religion or ridding the world of religion altogether. World peace can only be achieved by expanding the world of people, one individual at a time, who share a common desire to be decent, respectful, considerate human beings and who are fair and reasonable with each other.
Perhaps I may be guilty of things that I am not proud of in the past. Now, I want my life to be different. I know I can't conquer all of my human weaknesses at once, but I will strive day by day to make progress where I can. If I fail today, I will try again tomorrow... and I will keep on trying till I get it right consistently.
Please wish me well in this effort. I need your support and encouragement.
