On Metaphysics, the study of reality.
We recognize that the universe is filled with matter, light, and energy manifesting itself in wonderful form, beauty, and motion and that such matter, light, and energy in its various forms actually exists in reality with or without us and our perceptions. We recognize that we are part of this universe and inseparably connected to it ourselves as intelligent beings of matter, light, and energy. We recognize that the universe is in a constant state of motion and change and that each entity within the universe moves and acts within its own realm according to its own evolving nature.
Who cares about metaphysics?
On Epistemology, the study of knowledge.
We recognize that it is our nature as intelligent beings to acquire an increasing understanding of the universe and that our survival and prosperity is best served by actively pursuing a synoptically integrated understanding of and respect for the universe as it actually exists and evolves without superstitious, social, cultural, or intellectual bias or arbitrary explanations.
Who cares about epistemology?
On Ethics, the study of moral values and right and wrong.
We recognize that we, as intelligent beings, have a moral duty to apply our increasing knowledge of the universe in the pursuit of our own survival, prosperity, self actualization and highest and best natural purpose. We recognize that our highest and best natural purpose is to apply our conscious efforts and physical faculties to the continuation, preservation and improvement of our lives and the development of our minds within the context of a social environment of mutual respect and harmony with each other and the universe.
Who cares about ethics?
On Logic, the study of reasoning.
We recognize that it is within our intellectual capacity and consistent with our nature, self interest, and moral duty to integrate increasing knowledge of the universe into a synoptically reconciled system of understanding without arbitrary contradiction or denial of some realities of the universe in favor of others. We recognize that our capacity for understanding the universe is inseparably connected to the discipline with which we apply knowledge without arbitrary contradiction or denial of some realities in favor of others. We recognize that such intellectual integrity is essential to the development of our capacity for conceptual understanding and abstract reasoning which, in turn, are essential to our development of creative thinking and problem solving skills. As such, We recognize that reasoning with intellectual integrity is paramount to the survival, prosperity, and the greatest fulfillment of our existence as intellectual beings.
Who cares about logic?
On Aesthetics, the study of art and beauty.
We find beauty in the success of life within the context of a social environment of mutual respect for ourselves, each other, and our universe, and in an increasing knowledge of the universe and its realities. We celebrate that beauty with art that promotes successful, productive, peaceful, and harmonious life.
